AOKE AK08 (Or AK09) - Cheap Cell Phone Watches

If you are the kind of guy who doesn't like to carry to many things in his pockets, especially a cell phone, well we have good news for you! Since late 2008, they are now few cell phones watches available on the market but at that time, they were very heavy and expensive. The good news is that since summer 2009; you can buy the AOKE AK08 for less than USD 80 and its twin brother the AOKE AK09 costs few dollars more. It is actually one of the cheapest wrist watch mobile phone available. The main difference between the 2 phones is that the AK09 integrates a photo camera and a video recorder.

For this price you get a 1.3" touch screen (128*160 pixels) watch with a plastic case and strap. The design is very classic; it looks like an old bulky Casio watch from the eighties. But the interest of the watch is not in its design, but on what is has to offer: it's actually a fully functional tri-band GSM, with Bluetooth, USB and GPRS/WAP connections. It can send SMS and MMS and you can even go on the Internet with the standard WAP browser. For sure, you don't get the convenience of a 3.2" touch screen like on most of the phones, but it is there if you need it.

As it has Bluetooth, we recommend to buy for few more dollars the optional Bluetooth headset, so like that you get your hands free when talking over the phone.

What is also amazing with the AK08 or AK09 is that AOKE had found enough space in the watch to add multimedia functions. It has an MP3 music player, a photo viewer, a voice recorder, a video player and for the AK09, a photo and video camera (640*480 & 0.3 Mega Pixels). As file storage, the AK08 has an internal memory of 505 K, expendable with a TF card up to 2 GB. It integrates a micro USB plug so it can also be used as a U-disk to store data. The USB cover is made of plastic and according to what we have seen, it will not last very long and on some watches, it is also poorly adjusted.

At rest the phone watch displays time, if you tap the screen or press one of the command buttons, it will switch to the phone mode. Each time you push a command, it will move to another phone function. As the display is very small, AOKE supplies the phone with a tiny stylus. You can still manage to dial a phone number with the finger, but it is mandatory to use the stylus to write a message.

If you are not focus on style but more on functionalities and if you are tight on budget, the AOKE AK08 & AK09 are for you. For the price, it would be difficult to ask for more.

Mercedes Bluetooth Telephony Solution with BlackBerry Integration

Due to the increasing demand for Mercedes Benz Accessories GmbH is expanding its range of communication accessories and this time it would include Bluetooth telephony solution. This new Mercedes-Benz Bluetooth® (HFP) telephone module allows its user to use the BlackBerry® in a Mercedes-Benz passenger car without needing to physically connect the device to the vehicle. Such modular solution is especially designed for in-car telecommunication and is suitable for a selected range of mobile phones that support the Bluetooth® Hands Free Profile. This new telephone module with HFP software is compatible with the factory-fitted solutions that are presently offered in every Mercedes model series.

What can you do with the Bluetooth® Hands Free Profile? Virtually anything that you want like send and receive emails, make phone calls, check pictures and presentations. It's the perfect buddy for executives who wants to carry with them their office in the BlackBerry handheld computer.

And for the first time a Mercedes accessory in the form of the new Bluetooth (HFP) telephone module allows BlackBerry 8700g, 8700v and 8707v models to be connected wirelessly to a Mercedes-Benz passenger car.

The new Mercedes Accessories GmbH further boosts the safeness and convenience of using car phones. But the biggest benefit is the portability of the handheld or mobile phone which can be conveniently carried around either in your handbag or jacket pocket. There is also no problem with the Bluetooth connection between the vehicle and the device since it's done automatically. Operating the telephone module is also very easy since it features a single button which is used to activate the pairing process.

After the pairing process commence connection will be automatic. The integration on board also provides safe and spontaneous control of the telephone functions through the multifunction steering wheel, the central instrument cluster and the audio system display.

The Bluetooth (HFP) telephone module is also compatible with Nokia 6131, Motorola PEBL U6, Nokia 6111, Sony Ericsson K610i, Nokia N70, BenQ-Siemens EF81, and Sony Ericsson W550i mobile phones. It also acts as the extension of the pre-installation for mobile phone with universal interface---a feature which exists currently in most of the latest Mercedes-Benz models.

The module is very easy to use it needs only to be inserted into the pre-installation located at the center armrest. And for this month, Mercedes-Benz will offer its Mercedes-Benz Bluetooth (HFP) telephone module in an unconventionally designed closed box format and will be priced at EUR250 which include VAT.
